And welcome to my little messy (yet creative) corner of the internet where I will explore, discover, and share my personal minimalist sewing/creative journey with random people from around the world. My name is Katie and I am a professional costume shop manager, an artist of both paper and fabric, a wife who makes really cool shirts for her husband, a mother to two furry cats named Eris and Ares (I promise you they will be right there with me as I write this blog), and one of the most disorganized people you might meet. I am obsessed with Pinterest, corsets, plus sized costumes, and other creative randomness (and I mean randomness). I have about 20 years of theatrical costuming experience with an MFA in Costume Technology and have worked all over the country in various Operas, Regional theatre, off Broadway, and theme parks with various titles from Stitcher to Draper and eventually Costume Shop Manager. I love creating and managing creativeness brings me joy.
I deal with Generalized Anxiety Disorder and clinical depression so sometimes sewing or creating causes me stress for various reasons; Sewing plays a part in my everyday life, both professionally and personally so I want to explore who I am with every stitch or line I create.
